Meet Ally.
Background and professional experience.
Ally is a clinical psychologist and supervisor with over ten years’ experience providing trauma-informed psychological services to children, adolescents and adults.
Ally has worked across a range of contexts including forensic, private, government and not-for-profit. Within these settings, she has provided psychological assessment and treatment for forensic clients and departments; victim/survivors of sexual trauma; emergency services personnel; clients referred by the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal; as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families within the out-of-home-care sector.
Ally has also worked for the Children’s Court Clinic, an independent and state-wide specialist service which conducts psychological and psychiatric assessment of children and young people, as well as the capacity of parents and others to carry out parental responsibility. Here, Ally provided clinical assessment and expert witness testimony for children, young people and families facing matters before the Children’s Court of Victoria.
Beyond Ally’s private practice, she currently holds a position as senior clinical psychologist within a specialist trauma-based team for the Victorian Public Mental Health service.

Ally is a warm, empathic and emotionally attuned person who understands and treats human problems in a way that is empowering, effective and non pathologising. She is passionate about the importance of providing a safe and containing space for people to share, process, learn, integrate and heal. Ally believes that her clients are the experts in their experience and views therapy as a collaborative journey.
